What the application does

Director Lab organizes media assets, platform-specific copy, connected accounts and planned publication targets in a local workspace. The application validates video media before upload and stores status details for each target. Its experimental direct connectors use official APIs where available; they are not all production verified.

Publication lifecycle

1. Choose an asset and destination account in the workspace.
2. Review the caption, privacy, AI disclosure where supported, and media requirements.
3. Submit or schedule the target through the selected supported provider.
4. Track processing, review, native post identity and errors separately. A submitted request is not automatically marked public.

Account connections

Connections use OAuth or platform-issued bot credentials. Director Lab does not ask for a social account password. Tokens are stored through the application's encrypted local storage. Connections and publication capabilities vary by platform and review state.

Current limits

The experimental build is not a public self-service release. TikTok direct transport exists in code, but public posting awaits TikTok Developer App approval and an end-to-end test. Other platform connectors also require owner-side setup or live validation. The existing Postmypost workflow remains a fallback for production schedules until each direct path is proven.
